About the brand

In 1967, Canada was celebrating its centennial, magnificent Great Lakes ships were being built and
launched in Collingwood Harbour, and an American bourbon distiller decided that Collingwood would be the
perfect place to build a new distillery for the production of Canadian whisky. The distillery was purchased in
1971 by Brown-Forman, makers of famous Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. Brown-Forman’s successful
Canadian Mist Whisky brand has been produced in Collingwood ever since. Many years later in 2011, under
the skilled craftsmanship of Brown-Forman Master Distiller Chris Morris, the Collingwood distillery launched
a new premium artisanal brand, Collingwood Whisky, for the Canadian, US and international markets. Like
the town where it’s made, Collingwood Whisky is no ordinary spirit. Distilled using pristine filtered water from
Georgian Bay and grains (corn, rye and barley) sourced mainly from Ontario farms, it is aged in high-quality
oak barrels hand-made in Brown-Forman’s own cooperage. Once the whisky is perfectly matured, it is rest……

Pleasant yet somewhat dull with no champion flavor. Doesn't have the profundity of the Yamazaki 18 to my taste.

Great on the tongue however the zesty completion overpowers everything else and becomes one note and helps me a lot to remember whiskey.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Fragrant and aromatic with notes of dried herbs, spices, oak and vanilla. Has a bourbon note to it and a peppery tang.

Taste

Gingernut biscuits, toffee spices, herbal, vanilla, very rich and peppery.

Finish

Very spicy, big and rich.
