Ballantine's Scotch Whisky is a renowned blended whisky brand produced in Dumbarton, Scotland, by Chivas Brothers, a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. Known for its rich history, Ballantine's Finest is the brand's most popular expression. During the late 20th century, Ballantine's saw significant growth, becoming one of Europe's most recognized whisky labels in the 1980s and the top whiskey in Korea during the same period. However, following a global decline in whisky sales, the brand's Dumbarton facility was closed, and in 2005, Ballantine's was sold to the French spirits company, Pernod Ricard.
