In 1922, in the Highlands of Arandas, Jalisco, Don José María Bañuelos perfected his tequila recipe that he shared with his friends and family. This closely guarded recipe was passed down from generation to generation until his grandson decided to share this perfect tequila with the rest of the world. His legacy became “Cazadores,” or “The Hunters,” named after the journey, the majestic stags that roam the agave fields, and symbolizing the years that one hard-working man spent searching for the perfect tequila recipe to share with family and friends.
