Dominus Estate

Established in 1982 by then co-founders Robin Lail, Marcia Smith, and Christian Moueix, Dominus Estate is a premium winery located on the previous location of Napanook Vineyards in California's Napa Valley. Under the recommendation of wine expert Robert Mondavi, the three built on Napanook's foundations and soon released Dominus' first vintage bottling in 1983, launching the brand into the spotlight of connoisseurs all over the US. Christian Moueix gained sole ownership of the brand in 1995 - and released Dominus Estate's second vintage, Napanook, in 1996. Using a selection of grape varietals ranging from 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, and 5% Cabernet Franc, Dominus Estate annually produces 7,000 to 12,000 cases with a focus on three primary wines - Dominus, Napanook, and Othello. Toted as one of the finest Bordeaux-style producers in California, Dominus Estate continues to impress wine lovers all over the world with its delicate characteristics and high-caliber quaffability.
