It was disappointing to receive a different bottle than the jewel bottle that is pictured. I really wanted that bottle to give as a gift. That said, I was happy to find the Yazi Ginger Vodka since it’s not available where I live. Packaging and delivery was very good. The vodka is slightly sweet. I’m a dry martini kind of drinker but the Yazi mixed with a lemon La Croix is refreshing and is similar to ginger ale.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Snappy, ginger root initial aroma; aeration stirs additional aromas of cola nut, steel wool, and thistle; an overall pleasant bouquet, providing you like ginger.

Taste

The palate entry is very sweet and texturally thick; at midpalate a mild background spicy/peppery warmth emerges but doesn't overshadow the ginger influence.

Finish

It hits the palate with a soft sweetness that morphs into subtle ginger finishing with hints of citrus and spicy notes.
