Released in a mere 2,000 bottles available exclusively from the distillery, Folio 1 speaks to the first time the Macallan appeared in the renowned Times newspaper, helping to bolster the brand's now exceptionally respected standing in the world of premium Speyside whisky. The nose and palate intertwine with delicate notes of vanilla bean, toffee, orchard fruits, herbs, and just a hint of citrus. Each release in the series includes a beautifully decorative collector's tin and a hardcover, illustrated book telling the story of the Macallan's memorable advertising moments through the 1970s, 80s, and 90s.…

About the brand

The Macallan Distillery was founded in 1824 by school teacher and barley farmer Alexander Reid, soon after the Scottish Excise Act was passed to legalize the distillation of whisky.
