About the brand

The history of Amrut Distilleries is as old as the history of independent India itself. After six decades of
notable progress, just like India, Amrut Distilleries has grown both in stature and size and is now noted as a
global economic leader. Amrut Distilleries Private Limited began in 1948 under the name and style of Amrut
Laboratories, with an initial investment of barely a few lakhs. The founder was the late Shri J.N.
Radhakrishna, J.N.R as he is fondly called to this day. Under the leadership of the founder, Amrut Distilleries
made rapid strides to entrench itself as a significant and preferred supplier of Indian Made Liquor (IML) in
the Defence Market. In its state of origin, Karnataka, too, Amrut Distilleries grew to be one of the dominant
suppliers, especially in the old Mysore area.After the untimely demise of J.N. Radhakrishna Rao Jagdale in
1976, the mantle devolved on his son, Shri Neelakanta Rao, the present Chairman and Managing Director.

Upbeat 40th birthday celebration to me! This multi year (equal to 30 Scottish years for every Amrut) sherry developed peated bourbon is all that I love in a measure. Nose: light peat smoke preparing flavors orange strip and heaps of sherry. It needs to sit for some time or the ABV will victory your sinuses. Sense of taste: loads of oak from the completing whiskey and virgin oak barrels. Medium to gentle peat. Almost no consume for 60% ABV. Figs flavor nectar and vanilla. Only a trace of the Indian zest/cardamom character that I love in Amrut whiskies. Finish: overall quite long. Dry smoky and fiery leaving the tongue shivering. Very much done Amrut. I cant hold on to get the following Ravenous Heavenly attendants version when I turn 41!

Pineapple with a dusting of brown sugar, a light hint of cedar and rancio, vanilla, honey, toffee, cream

Biscuit-y at first, with more tropical fruit sweetness developing later on, mint, herbs, pepper, caramel, and ginger
