Buffalo Trace Distillery is known the world over for offering some of the most prestigious and collectible whiskeys on the market - and OFC Old Fashion Copper is up there as one of the most superior of these iterations. Vintage dated according to the specific year in which the bourbon was distilled at Buffalo Trace Distillery, these excruciatingly rare releases are named after the National Historic Landmark's original name - O.F.C Distillery. One of the first initial releases in the O.F.C collection, the 1980 Vintage was released in 2016 exclusively to non-profit organizations for fundraising efforts and comprised a mere 100 bottles. The packaging of the O.F.C. 1980 Vintage captures the splendor of the whiskey itself, housed in hand-cut crystal bottles with in-laying cut copper lettering to spell out “O.F.C.” on the front. The bottle is also adorned with a paper label prominently displaying the vintage year and a label on the back of the bottle denoting the milestones of that year. The 1980 Vintage memoralizes the U.S. Ice Hockey team’s stunning victory over the Soviet Union, along with pop culture happenings and Ronald Reagan’s presidential election. …
