Because this dram is the embodiment of unobtanium! Extremely rare and an enthusiast’s dream, this utterly indulgent bourbon begs to be sipped from the very first pour. Distilled in 1981 and aged for a minimum of 17 years in American oak, Lost Barrel 17 Year offers an aroma of licorice candy along with hints of caramel and dried tobacco followed by subtle notes of warm oak wood and char. The palate is a whole other galaxy with more layers of anise, baked black cherries, and plumbs of smoked wildwood. It’s no surprise this bottle is like a visit to Pandora – one that you’ll be happy to travel for, even if it’s a few light-years or so!…
