I've had many Balblairs and discovered they were all strong if unspectacular. This measure is unquestionably a stage over those however. Flawless parity wonderful vanilla and as @Scott_E noted tea notes (expresses gratitude toward Scott I'm by and large poo at putting a name to any one of a kind flavors I taste). Gentle flavor and apricots creme brulee sultanas gingerbread. Numm numm. It's amazing as this isn't a style that typically has an effect. Possibly this is a direct result of poor exertion as correlation the Glencadam 25 I had before it however I concur with Scott E on rating too. 4 in any event out of the door. No make it a 4.25...it shows signs of improvement and better as the measure advances. At last a superb Balblair!

Tasting Notes
Nose
The Sherry oak takes hold of the nose with thick slices of warm Christmas cake and juicy raisins. Beneath you'll find apple peel and honey'd malt.
Taste
Sherry spices still at the fore, though the vanilla sweetness from the bourbon barrel shines through, as does some warm, oak-y touches.
Finish
Full and long.
