Crafted in celebration of the grand opening of High West’s new distillery in Wanship, Utah, High West 16 year old Rocky Mountain straight rye was released in 2015 with a very limited run of only 1,300 bottles originally available at the distillery gift shop. Sourced from MGP and Barton with an undisclosed mash bill, this straight rye is aged for 16 years with a finished barrel strength of 92% proof. The nose is an aromatic wave of baking spices, wild honey, and caramel drizzled over ginger-orange cookies. The palate tastes of more ginger, vanilla, and caramel over tones of rye and warm spices. …
