Westland Distillery began as an idea between two whiskey enthusiasts - Matt Hofmann and Emerson Lamb. They set out in 2010 to create their interpretation of a select American single malt whisky. From there, the distillery grew to become one of Seattle's finest distilleries, winning worldwide acclaim, and was named Whiskey of the Year in 2015 by the American Distilling Institute. Purchased by Remy-Cointreau in 2017 - Westland has continued its journey of success, moving even further into the spotlight. Matt Hofmann retains the role of co-founder and Master Distiller, producing innovative new releases spawning from exacting methods, traditional and exploratory aging, and the highest quality of ingredients. The brand offers various iterations ranging from their original Westland American Single Malt, American Oak American Single Malt, Sherry Wood American Single Malt, and a rare and exceptionally finished Garryana Edition whiskey finished in local Garryana coastal wood - part of the novel Outpost Range collection.
