Glenfarclas is a brand of single Highland malt whisky distilled in the Speyside region of Scotland. At the helm of this prestigious line of superior Scotch whiskies is the 6th generation of the Grant family, decedents of John Grant - a family who has distilled and crafted Glenfarclas since 1865. The Glenfarclas distillery was legally established in 1836 on the Recherlich Farm and is located in the town of Ballindalloch, Scotland. The Grants were originally cattle breeders who lent the distillery site under a tenancy agreement to John Smith, founder of the renowned Cragganmore distillery. Glenfarclas now produces roughly 3.5 million liters of distillates per year and operates 6 giant stills, the largest stills in all of Scotland. Only the finest ingredients are used for the brand's methodical distillation processes. This paired with the unique size and shape of the copper pot stills, specially selected oak casks, and the style and location of the warehouses have shaped Glenfarclas into the world-class whisky brand it is today.
