About the brand
Penderyn Distillery, known for producing Penderyn Welsh Whisky, was founded by a group of private investors led by a man named Stephen Davies. The distillery was officially opened on September 1, 2004, in the village of Penderyn, located in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. Penderyn Distillery is notable for being the first Welsh whisky distillery in over a century. With the help of Dr. David Faraday - a relation to the 19th-century scientist Michael Faraday, and Dr. Jim Swan, Master Distiller - this brand has grown to become a world-renowned whisky producer, rejuvenating the lost art of whisky making in Welsh country. Penderyn Whisky has launched several highly-favored iterations, winning over 100 double-gold and masters awards from various international competitions. With a focus in inspired distillation processing, the Welsh tradition, and expertly selected ingredients, Penderyn Whisky has built a reputation of excellence that is set to endure for years to come.

Nose: Toffee cappuccino caramel milk chocolate calfskin strongly berry-seasoned sticky desserts stewed prunes a little oak. Sense of taste: Sweet appearance with red natural products that turns rapidly dry - practically astringent - featuring citrus leafy foods flavors. The advancement develops this initial flavor note with an explosion of zesty tannic warmth (hot cinnamon nutmeg clove oil dark pepper). At that point a strongly characterized second rush of advancement shows up with gentle wood flavors earthy colored sugar heaps of berries red foods grown from the ground. The surface is full and overwhelming. Finish: Medium/short and it stops unexpectedly. An oaky stewed-natural product compote on the persistent flavor. An inquisitive whisky. Not terrible at everything except rather - extraordinary. The structure appears to be by one way or another peculiar and there is a pinch of sulfur which barges in only a little on both the nose and sense of taste. It is anything but a sherry-bomb and there's not a hint of smoke. In the event that I needed to give it a name I'd consider it a jammy calfskin bomb" if that bodes well. With water - well simply don't do it. Indeed even a couple of drops executes it undeniable dead. No nose scarcely any sense of taste. It's staggeringly delicate. This was tasted from an example that I've had for some time which was poured from one of the mid 41% bottlings around 6 years back when a companion purchased a container. The example was stuffed so there was no air bubble and the top was as close as a drum so I'm getting it kept going great. It's absolutely a fascinating whisky yet I feel no craving to discover a container - anyway I might want to attempt an example of a later packaging especially the CS brownish port articulation. The cost I've provided for it was the cost estimate in 2013. "Better than expected" : 3 stars"
