To pay homage to their Gaelic heritage, the latest release in Old Forester's The 117 Series features bourbon finished in scotch casks. Bottled at 93-proof, the Speyside sourced sherry and wine maturation and finishing casks highlight Old Forester’s natural fruit character that is a result of fermentation with the oldest yeast strain in the industry. The nose opens with subtle hints of smoky char, milk, chocolate drizzled over shortbread accompanied by mulled, spiced fruit.
