About the brand

Catskill Distilling started their journey into Craft Distilling with the passage of the NYS Farm Distillery Bill
which allowed for self distribution and the new micro-industry of Craft Distilling in New York State. The
Distillery was opened in Bethel, NY in 2011 along with the Dancing Cat Saloon to support the Farm to Table
scene and the Stray Cat Gallery to feature Local and 2nd Home Artists. The award winning NYS Spirits
produced here been distilled and aged on site surrounded by the other things that are near and dear to our
hearts. We believe that you can taste the Spirit of the surrounding Woodstock field, the art, the music and
unique history of the Catskills and the passion in our Spirits! Of course, it is the NY State Farmers Grains and
the Pure Catskill Mountain Water that we start with and the passion of Distilling that has produced the award

Bought as Christmas gift so can't comment on taste. I bought my brother in law the Catskill Straight Rye Whiskey last year and he raved about it. He's not shy to tell me if he doesn't like something so I know it's to his taste. Got him another bottle of that as well. The company website says they sold to a new owner, so if you like it, buy up the old stock now. 5 stars for frootbat service I ordered a month before Christmas and the box was on the doorstep within a week.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Initial notes of butterscotch, toffee and molasses compliment hints of citrus and dried fruits.
